I talked to a guy this week who kept repeating he needed 3 months to season his 800,000 baht before he filed for his non o retirement visa and withdrawed it after 2 months. He went through a visa agent outside of Issaan. He is transferring 70,000 baht in the hope that his next extension will be good to go. I keep seeing on this site people repeating the same. I told him 2 months and 3 months after. Poor guy.
The first time I applied for my retirement visa extension (I switched from marriage visa extension to retirement visa extension) they asked me to come back after a few months to show them that my bank balance had not dropped beyond the minimum. This time (the second time) they did not ask me to do such a thing. I am supposed to go back? If so, after how many months/days?
Will be applying for the 90 day Non-O in Jomthein. Question : does the external transferred fund into your Thai Bank account have to be seasoned for 2 months prior to applying for the 90 day Non-O ? I know it must be seasoned for 2 months when applying for the 1 yr long term.
If one has 600,000 baht in a fixed (but drawable) account and starts another fixed account with 200,000 baht from an access account which is with the same bank and transferred the 200,000 baht from the access to the new fixed account on the same day and have bank signed and stamped papers from the bank to show the 800,000 baht has been in the bank every day for the past year.
Could immigration refuse to accept it for an extension of a retirement visa on the grounds that the money 200,000 was changed on the same day from access to fixed deposit during the seasoning period??
Getting confused about the seasoning of funds when renewing a non o 1 year extension raising half thai children... this will be my second year extension and i was wondering if the 400k has to be in a thai bank account 60 days before the day i show up to renew and 1 month while under consideration (90 days) or just a few days prior to the day I renew it.
Or since I am tranfering over 100k per month in my Thai bank account would that also work? Even if the $ goes in and out?
