What a wonderful trip to Thailand! Thank you for a much needed holiday in Phuket.
Return trip back to Singapore has been seamless: day 6 PCR test was used for our pre-departure test and manual transit through Bangkok was easy (domestic flight Phuket- BKK and then international flight to Singapore) - landing, baggage reclaim and recheck-in took 40mins. BKK airport was eerily quiet and super efficient.
(Had to travel back through BKK to get a vaccinated flight to Singapore and avoid quarantine on arrival).
Definitely recommend traveling to Thailand for a holiday, even a short 7 day one.
Can anybody advise me if you are allowed to transit through another airport to get Thailand in order to get the 1-day quarantine package? I am fully vaccinated and will fly from and through the countries that are on the safe list.
Or does it have to be a direct flight to Thailand?
HI, I flew in on a visa exemption, got several COVID extensions and was finally able to convert to a 3 month Non-O for retirement visa, which can now be extended to a "real" 1 year Non-O retirement visa. I have 2 questions:
1. the current 3 month is good until the 24th of July. How much before that date can I go in, to get the 1 year visa...2 weeks? 3 weeks?
1. at age 69 I am seriously considering flying to the US to get either Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and coming back to Bangkok Thailand through the Phukhet sandbox. If that "opening" doesn't hold, does a 1 year non-O retirement allow me to fly back into Bangkok and do a 14 day hotel quatantine?
