Anyone know if there iits still the "only falang get quarantined" policy if they get covid. I heard from a Thai person this was still in effect on the mainland but Phuket it is not.
Asking for a friend. She is visiting from Cambodia and has a few questions. She still has to register for the pass but does she need to be vaccinated to avoid quarantine? If she is vaccinated does she still have to buy insurance? Any help would be appreciated especially if you can expand on the subject.
I need to leave Thailand in order to change my visa. Are land borders available. I also have Covid a couple of months ago, so chances are I will still test positive on the RT-PCR test coming in. Can I get an exemption from the hospital that tested me to avoid the PCR test coming in. Any advice for me on how to avoid quarantining when I re-enter Thailand?
I’d like to fly Thailand to U.K (I’m unvaccinated) with minimal fuss/risk of being quarantined. I know U.K. travel rules changed from Friday, so U.K. doesn’t require any tests/docs. But what about the airlines/transit countries? Will I still need a covid test of some kind? What is the path of least resistance?
So Thailand just removed the pre flight Pcr test starting April 1. Good news. However testing day 1 is still here and will be for awhile. I’m presently in quarantine and didn’t have to be. My suggestion is you spend a bit of money a couple weeks before your trip for a Pcr test. If neg great. But if + (heaps of asymptomatic + cases) you have time to get a Certificate of Recovery/ medical cert so if you test again positive in Thailand you won’t have quarantine. Just my thoughts.
