First of all: congratulations on your name change. This is the greatest immigration site in the fine kingdom. I raise my Glass of milk to you.

Secondly: I have an under consideration stamp until the 7th. I'm in Bangkok. Will I need to pop over to see the lovely, well presented lady at immigration or will this amnesty cover my sorry little mancunian rear?

Hope they will extend again after the 31st of July. Some reports say UK maybe in isolation till end of year.... at least it will allow people on fb to recycle all the old crap on here.

I recommend that you GO and "close the loop" on the "unable to travel due to covid-19 extension" seeing as you only did the first step (the under consideration stamp). GO back on the date that stamp expires and get the "extension of stay stamp" which means that extension is complete THEN you will be covered on the amnesty that will take effect shortly and allow you to stay to no longer than the 31st of July

I called them at Rayong on 20th April (my extension due to Covid was up on 21st) and they said wait till the next announcement. I called today and they said it's ok until 31st July.... but she didn't seem to understand i was talking about Covid xtn..

She asked my visa...i said tourist....i guess i'll hv to call again......
