Hi. Just applied for a 12month Thai wife visa and this is now under consideration.
Today the immigration team paid us a visit to check our living arrangements and to confirm the photos we submitted.
I showed 400k in the bank account at the time of the visa application. My question is, when can I safely draw money from my Bank account below the 400k amount.?? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about when they could safely withdraw money from their bank account after applying for a 12-month Thai spouse visa, which includes showing 400k baht in the account. Community responses clarified that after receiving the extension stamp in the passport, it is permissible to withdraw funds, provided the bank book is updated at that time. Additionally, it was discussed that the user would need to report their residency to immigration every 90 days after the visa is granted, with the first report requiring an in-person visit.
Please dont assume im right never had visa needing money in bank yet but i have heard you need a minimum 400k in the account for duration of the visa, hope im wrong as i will be getting marriage visa when i return

Like i said wasnt sure take your word for it ill be there this year
that is for a retirement extension. Bt800,000 in the bank for two months before you apply, then three months after, then at least bt400,000 for the rest of the year. This does not apply to a marriage extension. Once you get your extension stamp after the 30 day under consideration period, you can do whatever you want with the money, until next renewal.

Sorry - O or OA are the non immigrant visas...Only O is for Thai Wife extension - OA is for retirement extension
A Non-OA is a 1 year multiple entry visa based on retirement that can only be obtained in your home country and requires health insurance. A Non-O based on retirement can be obtained at any embassy in any country, is valid for 90 days and is extendable for 1 year at a time, and does not require health insurance.
no. If you want to leave and return you have to purchase a reentry permit. One time is 1,000 baht or multiple entry is 3,800 baht. The permit allows you to re enter Thailand and you will get a stamp in your passport that matches your current โallowed to stayโ date.

when you go back to get the 1 year stamp they will check again , you have to go with a print out of the bank book and the bank book. I did mine in November

When you get the 12 month extension do you have to report very 90 days? Or do you wait until to renew after 12 months?
As soon as you get your extension stamp in your passport when you go back after your 30 day under consideration. Just remember, they will want an updated copy of your bank book on that day also. After you get your extension stamp spend away until next year.
