Hi, I went to immigration in Udon Thani to do my 90 day report.

My info: OA issued in Washington DC., stamped in to August 2020. 

The Immigration Official asked if I had insurance, I do not. He stated when I leave Thailand to have  Christmas in USA and return, if I do not have insurance I will only get stamped in for 30 days. This is to allow me to purchase insurance.

or current ‘ extension ‘ you mean . ? aim due return to Thailand on the 24th , I keep hearing ‘ on a O-A visa ‘ , but I’m assuming this also means an ‘ extension ‘ based on a 0-A visa ..

And also if they only stamp you for 30 days , and your existing ‘ extension ‘ still has 10 months left on it ( as in my case ) what happens to that ? ..

In Spain, insurance companies do not sign the certificate they ask for, they force you to buy Thai insurance

Or you could get insurance between now and then. In any case, there are more recent reports that there has been a change at Immigration at Suvarnabhumi that they are now letting people in with OA before Oct 31 and stamping them in for 1 year. The change seems date from November 7th. Basically, it is all still in flux.
