Hello. I entered Thailand in Feb on a Non immigrant type O based on marriage (single entry at Vientiane) and then I got an Extension for 60 days until 1st July. I have been on Amensty ever since. The problem is, that I went to Saraburi Immigration office yesterday and they stamped my passport (extension of stay permitted to stay permitted up to 26 September. They also STATED that I needed a letter from my embassy (UK) unfortunately but they stopped issuing them on the 2nd.
What's my options now - Agents ???????
Please advice - many thanks in advance.
I know that I have left it too late, been in a dark place - still am. That's no excuse. Cheers π

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining a necessary letter from the UK embassy to support their Non-O visa extension request in Thailand. They have received a temporary extension to stay until September 26 but need this letter due to the embassy halting issuance. Responses suggest contacting the embassy directly via email for requirements, as well as considering utilizing outside contractors for the letter. Updates indicate the user has successfully received the embassy letter and plans to visit the immigration office for further processing.

Update, just recieved the letter from the embassy earlier on. Only took 3 days to arrive instead of the normal 7. Going to the Immigration office on Friday so hopefully I will be ok. Many thanks for the replys, much appreciated.

Surely, a Thai marriage visa once converted from type O visa is valid for one year, Just do the 90 day report.
Great news, checked my email. Embassy replied. I have sent copies of the docs. Awaiting for their reply. Matter of waiting now for the letter. Bet they are swamped with all of the requests of the letter / extension. π
I think you will be fine. You should get the letter and that will allow you to extend for 30 days. Then you have those 30 days to put the paperwork together for the 1 year marriage extension. When you get the 30 days extension ask what your immigration office require to extend for 1 year based on marriage. Each office interprets the requirements slightly differently.
ty mate, one question, what going to happen after the 60 days extension, apply for another one. I don't have any funds in Thailand at the moment. Thank you in advance.
immigration have stated you can apply for extensions indefinitely. However no one has worked out if the embassies will repeat the letter process. Weβll have to wait and see.
it will appear in a different place because we are not friends. You might see a red dot in the top left corner in messenger. Try adding me as a friend.
