What do I need to apply for the Destination Thailand Visa as a freelancer?

Hey everyone! 🌏✈️

I’m planning to apply for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) and I wanted to get some advice. I’m a freelancer and teach English online to Italian and Spanish students. The company who sends me the money is based in Spain, I'm from UK. I’ve got one invoice as I've only been working as a freelancer for 1 month but it’s not a huge amount. I’m planning to work more hours when I’m in Thailand, so I’ll be earning more then. I can show proof of over 500,000 THB in my bank account.

Do you think this will be enough to get the DTV, do i have to show the specific number within the payslip or is it just a payslip with my name on. Any tips would be super helpful!

Thanks a bunch!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on applying for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) as a freelancer. They have a limited freelance income and adequate savings, and they want to know what documentation is necessary for the application, including the relevance of their payslip and bank statements. Comments suggest that a minimum income of 500 USD can be acceptable, and emphasizing proof of employment and financial stability with proper documentation could enhance the chances of approval.

Just did it from Cambodia with merely a screenshot of my online teaching profile and evidence of having the money in my bank. You should be fine

Even salaries as low as 500$ are getting approved so that's not a problem. I suggest presenting a nice portfolio including some screenshots of your online class and your experience in that field to avoid interview asking about your job. And other usual docs such as employment contract, company business license, profile, and recommendation letter.

There is no mandatory income requirement, you can explain you have taken up a new position in a cover letter. If you have a 2024 tax return that will also help.
