TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster expressed confusion regarding the income requirements for applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand, specifically questioning if a monthly income of 300,000 Baht was necessary. Comments clarified that there is no such income requirement; instead, providing bank statements along with a bank certificate is crucial to avoid delays. Discussions highlighted that the embassies mainly require proof that the applicant can sustain themselves financially while residing in Thailand, rather than a specific monthly income figure.

300,000 Baht a month? If that were the income requirement, absolutely no one would qualify for the DTV and it would be a terrible deal as well.

Even the LTR has scrapped its minimum income requirements and that is generally a much better visa to have than the DTV (if you qualify).

sounds like you're a troll and a lo s er. Why are you wasting time on this forum if you're supposedly so "loaded"?

฿300,000 is peanuts

The majority of DTVers aren't making that much and it would disqualify most from qualifying for this visa.

300,000 Baht a month is an average salary in the west, but a lot of money for Thailand.

the 80K income requirement is still there, but they lowered the company revenue threshold

No, they removed the 80K income requirement. It was in the news.

I saw the article but don't remember the details

I remember from reading it, the sponsoring company only needs to have a revenue of USD 50 million (down by

) plus the drop in the minimum income requirement but the rest is mostly the same as before.

Paul James300,000 is a tad over 9,000 usd how is that a hard amount to make a month 🤔

My business averages just over 3k usd a week profit ie income 🤷‍♂️😂

So speak for yourself I guess 😂

I can imagine making less than 9k a month at 49 years old and no college degree even 😂

Hell my 25 year old son who's been out of the Marines for 2 years makes a little over 10k usd a month 🤷‍♂️😂

Sounds like you haven't learned how to make a good living and probably busted your butt to make others rich instead of yourself 🤔

there are two types of financially successful people. One which stays humble human beings and I respect them so much! And then there are rotten rubbish people like you. Disgusting.

Cool story and probably made up. Someone making in excess of 300,000 Baht a month doesn't need a DTV. They can get a MUCH better visa.

@Paul ******
what visa are you thinking about? Maybe it’s not interesting for everyone. Especially if it requires investing in Thailand

No income requirement. Best to include bank statements that correspond to the bank certificate to a avoid delays. I submitted just the bank certificate and was told to submit the relative bank statements.

The embassies don't care how much you make, only, if they ask, that you are making money, and paying your taxes on the money you make, if they ask. Basically you can't be a freelancer working for free, if they ask, and they have been asking a lot more lately.
Elías ********
No such a requirement as a certain monthly income.
Elías ********
And especially, even if there was one, it wouldn't be US$9,000 per month. (But there isn't, anyways).
Paul *******
@Elías *******
Exactly, that figure would disqualify the majority of applicants.
