Hello everyone 🙏

I just want to know if the ETA for Thailand is aktiv already? I heard some updates last december, they gonna launch this Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) in january 2025. Since my wife and I gonna fly to Thailand on the 12.february, is there anything we need to fill out before entering the country?

We won’t have any Visa on arrival so that’s why.

Thank you for the efforts and advices in advance 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for Thailand is not activated yet and is on hold indefinitely. For travelers flying to Thailand on February 12, 2025, no ETA application is needed. As Swiss citizens, the couple will be eligible for visa-exempt entry, allowing them to stay for 60 days. They may need to provide proof of onward travel when checking in for their flight.

Thank you so much to everyone for the quick respond🙏 That means we don’t need to apply for anything except that we might need to show a flight out of thailand within this 60 days.

Yes and keep your last boarding card. The immigration officer may want it along with your passport.

What country?

We are both swiss citizens and thank you for your help. I appreciate that 🙏

Why would that matter? The proposed ETA or TDAC would not be country specific.

I doubt that!

If they do indeed introduce either option then it will be country irrespective. Probably not needed for Thai nationals but no details as yet.

no worries. Neither the ETA nor the planned TDAC will be ready by February 12. You can enter visa-exempt and will receive a 60-days stay permit (as a Swiss citizen, you do NOT buy a visa-on-arrival) You might however at the check-in to the flight be asked for a proof of onward travel within these 60 days by the airline
