TLDR : Answer Summary
The launch of the proposed Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) in Thailand has been postponed indefinitely, with initial plans for a December launch now off the table. Commenters suggest that further implementation may not occur for a year or two, reflecting ongoing speculation about the government's plans. Additionally, it has been mentioned that the government is working on integrating a 300 baht tourism tax into the ETA application process, pending agreements with banks.
It's been postponed until "next year" as the government is looking at combining the 300 baht "tourism tax" into the application process and it seems agreement has to be reached with the participating banks

TIT....this is Thailand things happen in their own sweet time
Reading between the lines, “until further notice” probably means that it won’t happen for a year or two. Don’t worry, three milliseconds after there are any further announcements from the government, there will be lots of posts here. Until that time, there’s nothing but speculation.
