Can someone definitely answer the following please:

I live here and have my address registered.  I am going to the states for a month.  I have my re-entry permit and am all set there.  It’s the first time I’m leaving since being on a one year extension (almost 3 years).  

When I return I know my 90 day report date is now at day zero.  

So now my question…do I have to register my address again if I am returning to the same condo I rent?  

I searched the group posts and see a lot of conflicting answers.  I asked friends that live here much longer than I and they said no.  But in searches I see yes.

Every imm has their own rules but it seems logical to do the TM30 again, because you have a new TM6 (Departure/arrival card) number, which is asked on the TM30 form

Officially, yes you do need to submit a new TM30 each time you leave the country and return. Some immigration offices might tell you ‘no need’ when you turn up to do it but it’s not consistent, so best to go and do it.

There's only one place that can answer you 100%, and that's going to be your local immigration that serves the address where you live. Every office has different policies on if you need to file a new TM30 upon returning from abroad. Some offices want you to do it, some do not.

Someone posted a couple weeks ago about returning to Thailand and going to register their address as they had been instructed to for multiple years only to find out their office has changed their policy and no longer require it.

This is why you need to ask your local immigration office.

When in doubt, file it.

appreciate it. My one friend that told me the answer was “no” said that he went to Jomtien to re-register and they asked him why he was there it’s the same address. But I will definitely follow your advice and ask them in person. Thank you.

I’ve been fined at Jomtien for not reporting I was at home again. They said every time I return a TM30 needs doing, even returning to the same address.
