I have just received an email notification from the UK embassy saying they will not issue an extension support letter as my current 30 day visa runs out on the 6th April and that I will be allowed to get a standard 30 day extension. I have heard on many feeds that I still need a letter..... Please help me clear this up? Many thanks again

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on whether an embassy letter is needed to extend their 30-day visa in Thailand. Comments confirm that a letter is not required for the first extension, but is needed for subsequent extensions.
, slightly different question... How many days did it take to get a reply from the embassy? Emailed them all my info on Thursday last week and still waiting... I'm sure they're busy but I was told two working days initially.
thanks very much. I was going to apply for a 60 day family extension.... Do you advise I get my standard 30 day extension the apply agsin for the 60 day extension with the covid letter?
