Hi i need some advice.

My boyfriend hold South African passport. Can he get a 60 days tourist visa in Vientiane? I saw the list of all the countries that limited. I dont see South Africa on the list but i just want to make sure.

 yes thats correct. So now he has to fly out by 22 April. So we will go Vientiane then

, that is a 30 day extension stamp that he got at the thai immigration office in Bangkok for 1900baht.

 does your b/f have a tourist visa from the thai consulate in S/A in his passport?

If so, does that tourist visa have any thai writing on it?

That would be the only reason they couldn't get a tourist visa in Vientiane.

What does his current visa say? Some have reported a note made on their visa ...by Pretoria...that they must return to SA to get added visas.

S/A passport holders CAN use the thai consulates in Lao for visas.

Remember though that the thai consulate in Vientiane now has an online appointment system

 go to the link I posted, enroll in the program with your email, wait for the confirmation so you can log into the site and then you can make a booking on your own.

 we only due to go before 22 April as his current tourist visa expires on the 22 April is there space on the 22nd?

The first open appointments for a tourist visa would be Friday April 12th or Wednesday April 17th.

If you can't wait that long, you'd have to use the thai consulate in Savannakhet Lao.

S/A passport holders CAN use Vientiane and Savannakhet Lao for visas.

 yes they say SA passport can not get a 60 day visa from Hanoi. I think some countries dont issue a 60 day visa for SA passports.

 because last time we went to Hanoi to apply for 60 day tourist visa and they didnt help. My bf could only get a 30 day when he arrived in Thailand at the airport

 there is NO 30 day tourist visa :/

A tourist visa gets people stamped into the country for 60 days and you BUY them at the thai consulate in another country.
