you wrote that you do not remit in Thai baht. You remit money to Thailand. That is in principle taxable! Doesn't matter if it is Thai baht or another currency!

ja je verlaat gewoon vlieg gedeelte, passeert immigration pakt je bagage van de band en verlaat airport gedeelte. Neem lift of roltrap naar laagste verdieping waar de trainer vertrekken en vlak daarbij staan boxen van de geldwisselaars. Kom niet in de verleiding direct achter douane waar je koffers oppikt of ng erger voordat je de douane bereikt, je geld te wisselen. Dan krijg je een bodemkoers. Weggegooid geld !

I expect immigration do not care about complaint from rental agent. Maybe different if there is a court order but even then I doubt if they care!

you could try to negociate with a company that organises the "garnteed" borferruns, if they are prepared to meet you at the border and help you there and tell them that you pay the full price as if youi have traveled with that company
