I feel differently about Cambodia than you do, so we are obviously both looking for different things. I’m not looking for convenience or I’d just stay home, and I don’t see life in Thailand as convenient when you have to continuously leave the country and worry about whether they’ll let you back in. It sounds like Michael is having issues with Thailand as well, so this is really an irrelevant conversation 🤷🏼

It’s easy to live in Cambodia. You can get a one year multiple entry visa and renew it every year. This is where I’m thinking of heading. Thailand is too much trouble and too many hoops to jump through.

yes, I’m sure you’re right. I’m from Canada too, and I know what you mean. They want all your money and are very creative in how to get it. I’ve never brought a lot of cash with me, so not sure how they deal with that, or if it’s an issue at all. Personally, I’m over Canada! It’s not what it used to be.

I’m sure it would peak the interest of immigration more than someone who’s 15 year old didn’t have 10,000 cash. 😮. I would think there might be a couple questions if they were aware of the cash

Why would you want to carry that much cash. They have ATMs everywhere and I would think a safer approach. I have heard a couple stories of people “losing” cash, so just saying…But I’m sorry, I don’t actually know the answer to your question.

yes, I’ve seen someone refused boarding as they didn’t have an onward ticket. A bus ticket worked for me.
