that won’t be a problem since I will have my Aussie ticket. Thanks again.

@James *******
thank you so much. The inevitable question of a newbie on this topic…. If I flew to Singapore for a couple of days and back to Bangkok for that border bounce, is Suvarnabhumi the most trouble free point of re-entry?

It was in the last 5 years, but of course we had the infamous virus in that period which temporarily altered entry rules.

It’s seems the eVisa process has effectively automated and removed human intervention to a large extent. Anyway, life presents new challenges. Duck and dive is all we can do.

@Roger *******
assume he refers to a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa that allows 2 months (60 days) each visit?

If you go to Thailand, then to another country and back again to Thailand before your return to your home country remember that’s a “multiple entry” into Thailand.

You can apply on line for a new Irish passport (standard or larger book size available). Must be mailed to an Irish address. But you could have it forwarded to you I just did it. Zero hassle for the record! Took 1 week to receive it. You don’t need to surrender your existing passport if it’s within last 12 months of its expiry date.
