I would like to thank this platform on the last advice I received. I have been successful today with my visa proceedings. I posted the same question on other thai visa platforms and received the most useless information resulting in unnecessary stress. Thank you Admins 🙌
It's with a heavy heart that I come before you today. Recently, I've found myself at the center of an unfortunate situation—targeted harassment from a group member who is advocating for my removal as a moderator, as well as threatening to send police to my house, have me arrested and deported for deleting their off topic comment.
This group has been my passion project (my hobby) for the past 8 years. Day in and day out, I've poured my time and energy into building a safe and informative space for travelers and expats navigating the complexities of Thai visas.
I get a LOT of enjoyment from helping each and every one of you with entry/visa/extension answers. The thought of stepping away from one of the only things I know is tough for me.
So, I'm putting my moderation role up for a community vote.
If you believe that my assistance is no longer beneficial or needed, please be candid. I would rather step down knowing the truth than continue under a cloud of doubt.
However,
If you feel that I should continue in my role, your support would reaffirm my commitment to serving the the foreign community of thailand.
Please cast your vote below and feel free to leave a comment (for or against my staying) in the thread. .. This poll/thread will be open for 24 hours.
Option 1: Keep Tod Daniels as a moderator
Option 2: Remove Tod Daniels as a moderator
Your participation in this vote is invaluable for the future direction of this group. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Tod Daniels. They should build a statue in your honor. The information/service/advice that you provide is invaluable. I'll soon be retiring to Thailand (marriage) and my time will certainly be spent investigating the advice that you have provided to others in a similar situation. Thanks again for your time and patience. Regards, Mark.
As the admin and the moderators are going to see this first to approve it, I wish to say that the level of advice given in this group is excellent. It is clear, concise and easy to understand. Thank you for all your valuable information you give to people like us who need some guidance on how to stay longer in the “Land of Smiles”.
Maybe it qualifies for Thai Visa Advice. My old passport with my ed visa is valid until summer. A new passport is ready for me at the embassy in Bangkok. Unfortunately, when I pick up the new passport, they will stamp the old passport which contains the visa invalid. Will there be any problems for me at the airport with the immigration when I want to leave a couple of days later, showing the old invalid passport and my new passport. I don't want to travel 800 km one way back to the local immigration office and the next day back to Bangkok just to fly out.
