I was an Immigrant in the US. I became a US citizenship after I applied for a green card through marriage with a US citizenship. It was pretty easy, but I have family members who went through hell to have a green card ( residency) in the US. When I applied to have my citizenship, there wss an agent responsible of my file, this man tried to give me hell for no good reason. Thanks God, I had a very good lawyer ( I paid her 4000$ usd), she was a member of some organizations related to immigration, she told je clearly what this Agent was doing was not right and she can make hom loose his job if she file a complaint. She she talked to the agent abd made him know that what racist and illegal. She threatened the agent to report him if he doesn't stop the foolishness. She also requested that my file be transferred to another agent. So, immigration officers always abuse their power in any country. My cousin waited 22 years for a green card in the US

Immigrants applying for residency in USA suffered and waited sometimes years. I have five family members who waited for mire than 10 years, finally they contacted them for the residency, then the office thst was supposed to do the last step never did anything. They hire lawyer to find out what happened, they keep telling them to wait, they will contact them. It has been years since they received this letter, they still never heard from US immigration. Finally, they lost hope abd gave up
