for me (Australian) it took about 5 minutes to sign up. They even send you a debit card (arrives in two days if you're in Thailand/lose your card there). The card gives pretty good international transfer rates, I use it for all my ATM withdrawals.

I know people from the UK, EU, and US with the card too, just don't know what it's like for everywhere else

Well last time I came they gave me a 30 day no visa rather than stamping my 60 day visa without asking so maybe you could get the same treatment 😭

You will still need two days to get a tourist visa in Hong Kong (got one in March)
