. Also you can get a year in Thailand with far less financial requirements. I only needed equivalent of 100k baht in my home country Bank to get one at the time.

. Most people don't use them. They get a single entry 90 day one and then convert to a yearly extension. It's just an option

. Not many consulates offer them anymore.

Yearly extension doesn't require it. 90 day reports instead

. Non o multi visa you have no choice but to leave and re enter every 90 days. Been there and done it.

@Jim *******
. If you get stuck, apply for a 60 day visit family extension to bridge the gap, then do yearly extension on the back of that. But you can only do this once per visa/yearly extension. Will need a fresh visa from outside Thailand to get access to 60 day visit family extension again.

---> multiple entry <--- kind of self explanatory.

. In person yes. Online you can't do it late, only early. I found this out the hard way today. 2000b fine.

you should pay more attention to what I wrote.. what possible reason would someone have to spend that much money on a very long term visa just to think it will give you a green light to not pay tax here? Can do same on a free visa ffs

..

What part of "nomad" confuses you??

Being a digital nomad doesn't make you a genius. Go ahead and pay income tax in a country you aren't living in, qhilst paying thailand just as much or more to stay here pretending your not working, probably more than your tax would be anyway. real smart..

Comparing prostitution to this is ridiculous.. police here get a cut of that activity, they get nothing from you "nomads" unless you are stupid enough to pay millions of baht for a visa that gives you no work rights.

Thinking immigration is ignorant is a mistake. With an elite visa they already have your money up front. They don't give a shit.

. Ok . Take the risk. Potentially lose all you spent on an elite visa and get banned from entering Thailand for up to 5 years. You can do the same on any other visa for a fraction of the outlay.
