. Step 1 s go to your local immigration office and ask for the list of requirements for the extension.

Step 2 is read it and check you have everything they want.

If you are still unsure , ask or pay someone to help you understand it and complete the list correctly. A lawyer or agent is going to ask you for all of this paperwork anyway and you still need to appear at immigration in person anyway when you apply, including your wife if it's a spouse extension. Why pay them a month's thai salary to do one days work?

It's only an issue if you don't meet the requirements that immigration request. Lawyers and agents are mainly used to circumvent this if you don't meet them . Otherwise you are paying a ridiculous amount of money for something you can do yourself.

. Read my post again carefully. Imm has never allowed it . That's the point. Op thought 6 month TVs were for 6 months stays, they aren't. They have a 6 month expiry.

If thailand DID issue 6 month stay tvs it would literally allow you to.live here timewise.

You're being fleeced by the school to do the paperwork for you.. get the paperwork you need from them and do it yourself.

If metvs were 6 month stays, every foreigner in Thailand would be using them to live here. See above

Him getting a Thai passport would solve everything, he wouldn't need any visa or extension.

. Good to know, I've only ever had Kbank. Bangkok and Kbank seem to be the most user friendly and foreigner friendly banks in Thailand from what i hear.

. Once you have the account , you'll need to go into a branch to activate online banking. Go in there with your bankbook, passport and phone and they will(should) do it all for you. Go to a large branch though, eg area office or branch in major Shopping complex, some small branches like to play ignorant and say they can't because they don't know how to..
