It's 180 days. Not 6 calendar months. Would it have been 6 calendar months then the stamp would have said July 28th because both start date and end date are inclusive. So you only "lose" 1 day.

only once per entry.

So enter Thailand year one. Extend once. Leave Thailand. Enter Thailand year two. Extend once. Leave Thailand. Etc.

180 days each entry and each extension.

Wrong. Look in the group and you'll see that renewals have started.

After the first 180 days you can do an extension inside Thailand for another 180 days.

After that you need to go outside Thailand.

When you come back you get another 180 days and can do an extension again when the days expire.

So... You can stay for 360 days before you have to go outside Thailand each time you re-enter...

As per the rules DTV should be applied at the embassy in the country you are living in.

So in this case it should be the Vietnam address since you are applying at the Vietnam embassy.

Yes. It varies with different embassies but the RRP is 10 000 THB... Some embassies charge more just because they can... (and maybe to get some extra in their pockets)

But we still know the fee is 1900 THB. The same as for any other extension. Directly from the government officer responsible for the visas:
