It seems there are literally No visa agents in East Thailand - Nakom Phanom, Mukdahan Area? Have to go all the way tp Khon Kaen to see an agent for help?

Is it confirmed now that when entering Laos at the Savannakhet checkpoint, leaving Laos the same day at Savannakhet checkpoint is no longer allowed by Laos Immigration? If same day border bounces are no longer allowed, does anyone know how many days must be spent in Loas before being allowed to exit Laos and reenter Thailand at the Mukdahan checkpoint. Just need to know if I need to book a room in Savannakhet.

Does anyone know if there is paid parking available at Chong Mek? I may want to venture into Pakse a few days on my next border run. If not, Mukdahan may be a better option. They have paid parking at the border crossing.

Advice on how to reach Savannaket.

My plan is to take a flight to Nakhon Phanom. The question is there a bus operating from the airport straight to Savannaket? Or if I cross the border in Nakhon Phanom is there a bus on the Laos side to Savannaket?

I am going to apply for a non-o visa in Nakon Phanom and have been told I need to go to Mukdahan to apply for first time, not really sure why. I have the 800 k in the bank already 1 month. Not sure what documents are needed and would appreciate any information or advice. Example would be if I need a bank letter and account statement when first applying.

Anyone know what time the mukdahan/ Lao border across friendship bridge closes on a Sunday Night. ?

Had fun at the border yesterday the 7th. Went to stamp Out and stamp in for another 90 days. Immigration at the crossing said I was overstay 1 day and Mukdahan had used the wrong stamp. Fine for wrong stamp and fine for 1 day overstay. First in 27 years.
