I am a Bangladeshi applicant currently in the process of obtaining a Thailand Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) via the medical route. However, I am facing difficulties in completing the visa fee payment through the online system. I have attempted multiple times, but the website seems to have technical issues.

I have already reached out to the Royal Thai Embassy in Bangladesh via email and phone, but unfortunately, I have not received a response.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance on alternative payment methods or any steps I should take to resolve this issue. If there is any other way to proceed, such as paying through a different platform, bank transfer, or in-person payment, kindly let me know.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I need to send my NYC issued diploma back to the States for Authentication by the Thai embassy or consulate there. Which is the most dependable service for such a task? It's my understanding that it must first be notarized by a notary in the state of New York. After that, will I also have to send it to the US department of State for their authentication before sending it to the Thai embassy for the final step?

Hi

This is the reply I received from the Thai Embassy, London. Thought this might be helpful if theres anyone like ourselves who wish to register their UK marriage in Thailand.

They assumed we were changing surnames which we are not. I have uploaded the docs to files section

According to changing surname, it must be submitted the document and done at local district office in Thailand.

Firstly, husband have to bring a copy of his UK passport and the agreement to use surname form to sign it in front of UK solicitor. After that you need to send those two document and UK marriage certificate to be certified by Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

Once you receive it back from FCDO, UK marriage certificate and a copy of husband's UK passport have to be translated in Thai.

Our requirement:

1. Legalisation form, see attached file.

2. UK Marriage Certificate and a copy of husband's passport which are certified by Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO)

3. Agreement to use surname form which is certified by FCDO

4. Translation documents in Thai

5. A copy of wife's Thai passport

6. Fee 10 GBP per document (can be paid by debit card/contactless or cash)

For translator, you can contact [email protected]

If your just registering your marriage, not changing surnames the process is much easier.

In order to register your marriage certificate in Thailand, your UK marriage certificate has to certified by FCDO and legalised by Royal Thai Embassy in London.

However, you need to translate your marriage certificate into Thai as well before submitting at local district office in Thailand.

"It has to have the Thai Embassy stamp or the Local district office will not register the marriage."

Yours sincerely,

Consular officer

FYI for my American peeps.

Effective immediately, the U.S. Consulate General in Chiang Mai is temporarily suspending all consular services until further notice due to staffing shortages. Although we hope to resume consular services soon, consular services in Thailand are currently only available at the U. S. Embassy in Bangkok.

If you are a U.S. citizen in northern Thailand in need of emergency assistance, please call the Bangkok American Citizens Services unit (02-205-4000). If you have an appointment for, or are seeking, routine services, please email [email protected].

Hello everyone!

I came to Thailand in July 2021 on an ED visa as I did an exchange study program at a school here. Because that ended in December, I had to switch to Covid extension which I am currently on now. As I am starting an internship for a company here soon, which is also part of my study program from abroad, I would have to switch to ED Visa again.

I wanted to ask if you know whether there are other documents needed for immigration other than letters of acceptance from the company here/my university abroad? They also said a letter from my embassy, but apparently they do not offer these consular services. Do you think this will pose a problem when I go apply for the visa?

Thanks in advance for all the information!
