Good afternoon everyone. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good Thai language school in Hua Hin that I can use for the DTV application or cooking school. I have only found the Muay Thai gym and while that is awesome I prefer to learn the language or how to cook Thai food.
Does anyone know if a language course will meet DTV2 requirements? I have read conflicting reports that some embassies accept and others do not. Also does anyone have any knowledge on DTV2 approved cooking courses. It seems quite that Muay Thai and cooking is accepted as a qualification but not learning Thai language.
Hey y’all, I have an education visa with a current extension of stay until November 2nd (after that is my final extension, which would only be until mid December)
My school has told me that if I don’t do the extension, the last date I can stay is the 2nd of November.
Can I simply fly out before then, let the extension expire, and then fly back in with a (hopeful) DTV to get stamped in with a new visa?
If not - anybody been in this situation? Cancelled their ED and then went out of Thailand to obtain a DTV? Would love to hear your experience. Read 1 report on here of someone not cancelling but would appreciate additional insights.
My daughters are grade 7 and grade 6 , we think about to Chiang Mai live for a while and visit the schools first . We plan to enter Thailand first time with visa free 60 days.
The question is , could we transfer the ED Visa within in Thailand if we get the school offer after ? Or we need to back to our country ( Taiwan ) to apply the ed visa?
Hi everyone. I will be coming to Thailand (pattaya) in October and wish to get an ED visa to a language school so I can’t stay for at least a year. I have been told by people in Thailand that I can come over and apply and do everything whilst in Thailand but if that is true would I be able to enter the country on a single plane ticket from the UK or do I have to apply for tuition and obtain the ED visa whilst still in the UK?
Hi All, I was in Thailand for 3 months on a 60 day visa + 30 day extension. Left for a week to Japan. Just arrived back on a visa exemption but was told by immigration that I was getting a warning and if I were to return again in a 3 month period I would be denied entry. Was very surprised given that this is only my 2nd entry.
Question is- my plan had been to do a 30 day extension while doing the paperwork for an education visa. Is that not going to be possible now because of the warning? My intention is to use AAA school, maybe they will be helpful in sorting it out?
I’m 26 and a US citizen.
Thoughts and advice please and thank you in advance.
Good day everyone. Is there any South Africans on this group who is able to share their experience with me. You're welcome to send me a private message. I will arrive in Thailand soon on a work visa (Non B) and my son, 14 years old, on a tourist visa on arrival.
First question is: How was your experience, if you had a similar experience, when converting your child's tourist visa to an Ed visa?
Second question: What documentation, other than what the school will provide, did you need?
Third question: Finances? (All fees involved) Last question: Did you do a visa run to any neighbouring countries, which one is the best to be able to get the convertion from tourist to Ed visa done?
