Did anyone do a DTV in South Africa?

Good day. Has anyone from South Africa/Other African countries done their NON-B visa in Malaysia? If so, how does the process work?

I need to apply for DTV visa. I meet all the requirements. I'm a South Africa citizen. Can I apply at Vientenne Laos or do I need to apply at the Thai embassy in my home country? 🤍

We are now ready to receive the applications.

Documents to be couriered to the embassy directly

Delivery between 9-12 on a weekday

Package must be marked OFFICIAL / DTV application for attention VISA SECTION on the outside waybill.

Update re DTV for South Africans in SA:

I managed to get a hold of VFS and they referred me to the embassy since they do no process the visa. I have since received a response from the Thai Embassy in Pretoria: "The official application process for the DTV visa is yet to be confirmed as it's a relatively new visa. We await the instructions from Thailand still."

I will be there in person the 2nd of August and I will keep checking in if anything changes.

Are South Africans able to go to Malaysia, either for tourist visa or for visa on arrival upon reentry?

If yes, then does this include all of Malaysia or only certain parts?

If no, then is Laos still an option in this case?
