Please be advised that there is an immigration office in Surin Town as well as in Kap Choeng.
So for those of you who live in Surin town or near by it means you don't have to go to Kap Choeng. When the Thailand - Cambodia border reopens Kap Choeng immigration office will be swamped once again as it was before the pandemic shit. I have been doing my last two extensions (retirement) in Surin Town and the whole process took about 30 minutes
I am asking for a friend who is gonna relocate here, in December.
Have also asked in local forum which seems more focussed on food options...., and still awaiting response. But does anyone have a list of the "CURRENT" requirements for a 12-month extension of stay at Surin Immigration Office, Kap Cheong district. (Non-Imm O-A) category visa entry. This will be first application this province. Have had previous extensions both Bangkok and Pattaya.
For the information of members on Non-Imm "O" (Retirement) extensions of stay who maybe looking to relaote to Surin. Have just been informed by the Surin Immigration Office their requirement for seasoned funds is 3 months prior must have minimum balance 800K. But their advice is to add a couple of weeks to allow bank statement being obtained from the head office which is likely going to be in Bangkok. AND must retain that minimum balance for one month afterward, but NEVER fall below 400K.
