Anyone recently done the TR Tourist Visa in Cambodia and how many days did it take? Would it be possible to apply 8am Thursday morning and get it back Friday afternoon? Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
Hello All. Does anyone have recent experience doing an application for a METV Non B Visa in Phenom Phen Cambodia? I'd love to hear success and troubles everyone has faced.
Report from the field, Phnom Penh: Was just advised that I have too many SETVs and that I could apply, but would probably lose 40 USD. A bit of background, almost 2 years of SETVs, but not back to back. I’ve spent 2+ months outside of Thailand this calendar year. They didn’t count the days or visas for this year, just noted I had too many and would likely be declined.
Will try my luck in Kota Bharu next week, or may go back to the states and try for a METV... or... gulp... Thai Elite.
Does anybody know if the Thai office closes between the holidays 5.12 (Fathers/Kings day) and 11.12 (costitution day) in:
-Penang/Malaysia and/or
-Phnom Penh/Cambodia
I plan my visa run for beginning of december (Visa runs out on the 6.12) and want either to go to Penang or Phnom Penh to make a new single entry visa.
Thai Non-B visa in Phnom Penh - agent recommendations?
Hello all!
I'm taking a bus to Phnom Penh today and hope to start my visa application process in the morning. Do you lovely folks recommend an agent of some kind who can deal with the infamously tricky consulate there?
I've prepared myself for the turn around time and potential extra cost but I'm otherwise a bit oblivious to the whole process. I'd like to save myself the anxiety of doing this myself if I can find someone reputable!
Thank you for your time and response(s)!
P.S. I'd also love any tips and tricks you have to make the process easier. 🙂
It's no secret that the thai consulate in Phnom Penh is hit or miss at the best of times and down right hard to work with at the worst of them
BUT
I've NEVER seen someone turn in their application for a tourist visa, meet all 3 of the 'proof-ofz", pay the $40USD. However when the went back to get their passport they found out the visa was put into their passport BUT was stamped Void Without Prejudice..
This person did not have a passport full if tourist visas from other consulates either..
Anyone thinkin' to go to the thai consulate in Phnom Penh, be warned, this could happen to you. I'm NOT saying it will but I've not see any other consulate due this (other than the thai consulates in India for indian nationals)..
