Planning to be there soon. Google tells me I need to walk about 30 minutes from the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel to ICONSIAM. But my guess is that there should be boats to just cross the river in a few minutes, which Google doesn't know. Is this true?
Hi all , I maybe in Phrichit, North Thai , in June staying at my girlfriend's house, but it's rice paddy area and I think that I'll be bored after a month. Told her that I need to escape for a week or two, don't want her to have to drive me for hours back to BKK and then have to drive back. Anyone know the area how to get to Bangkok by train or bus
( She doesn't seem to know) Or maybe a border run too somewhere from Phrichit. Thanks .
Just a Warning if u don't know already. I went to Chaengwattana this morning to extend my visa. I had an appointment so I drove there. Be warned..... most of the on street parking outside the building has been removed due to the massive ongoing construction. There is parking at levels 3 4 n 5 near the Centra Hotel but that was full. Took 30 minuts to find a space.
Leave Plenty of Time to park if you are driving to Chaengwattana over the next few months.
We’re looking to explore northern Thailand in December.
My girlfriend is Thai but she’s never been to the north.
Got 12 days to spend a few days at each stop, but I’m just wondering if anyone has any input on itinerary, how we go from place to place, where best to spend time, costs, should I book tours or just explore?
We’re gonna fly in from don Mueang to
1. chiang rai, then to
2. nan, then to
3. mai hong son, and finally end in
4. chiang mai
Then fly back to Bangkok
I look forward to hearing you advice cos it’s always been super useful and funny at times too
