Hi everyone, I am on a extension of stay based on (Non-B) work permit which expires around June 2022. If the company decide not to renew my work permit, my understanding is I will only have 7 days from cancellation to leave the country. Is there any way to extend my extension of stay (any recommendation or what type of visa I can convert to) in order to stay another 1 to 2 months after June (till around Aug 2022) to settle the house moving and admin stuff? My non Thai wife is having her baby delivery around that month (June) also (if its a valid reason for immigration?)
I have 2 questions regarding the Special Tourist Visa (STV):
1. This is a 3-month visa with the option to extend twice (getting you 9 months total). Can it be extended again after that, or, can you move over to another visa once the 9 months is up without having to leave the country?
2. The Thai government have stated the STV will finish 30th September 2022. Does that mean the visa will no longer be valid after then and you lose some of your 9 months (I would be applying in April), or, does it mean that you can no longer apply after 30th September?
