( apologies in advance if the answers to my questions are obvious. I don't see a consolidated answer on here , so was hoping for a response from someone with firsit hand experience )
I live in Thailand but work all over Asia so quite hard to tie down exact dates, but of course will make it work.
I read that people are are applying online for the HCMC and waiting 2 weeks for an appointment.
1. Is the 2 weeks a minimum ? Set in stone ?
2. Can you select a range of dates for your appointment?
3. Can I only apply once inside Vietnamto lock in the appointment. I'm aware that proof of arrival are required. I'm just not sure that is needed at the start.
I will be providing the following. My Thai address will be our family villa in wife's name.

2. Passport photos x 2
3. Latest wage slip. More available upon request.
4. 6 months bank statement. Latest balance of bank balance. More available upon request.
5. Letter from company, confirming my salary, length of employment and remote work ability.
6. Singapore Tax return. Showing taxes paid in full.
7. Proof of address in Thailand on bank statement.
Any reports from Yangon? Is a 1 month account statement enough? I understand you need to book an appointment to get in. I took a look at their website and seems like you can easily secure an appointment starting about a week from when you book, but they only open slots up to around 2 weeks in advance.
Just completed my 30 extension at Jomtien Immigration. Thanks to posts in this group, relatively easy process. 1. Yes, they wouldn't do extension, before 7 days prior to expiration of Tourist Visa. 2. Make an appointment online, you will get in and out a lot quicker, about 1 hour in my case. 3. Download copy of appointment, be prepared to show it, once or twice. 4. Near appointment time walk up to door marked exit, say you have appointment and show it to door monitor. Don't stand in line. 5. Make copies of everything needed before hand. I went to copy center in Ban Amphur, costs 1 Baht per copy. Thanks. 🙏
Allow me to share my experience getting my visa from Kuala Lumpur.
The Embassy only accepts online appointments, and they are difficult to get.
The appointment window re-sets every midnight, so you have better chances booking around midnight. The open the slots 14 days in advance, so if you are looking on the 1st December, the nearest window will be on the 15th December, for example.
However, they also release the booking slots from people who cancel their appointments, it happens around 10 minutes to midnight, so you might get something a bit earlier as well.
Also, as the booking window re-sets on midnight, it does so on a local time. This means that the slots are available at midnight Malaysia time in Malaysia (while it is still 11 PM in Thailand). and for Thailand, they are available at midnight Thai time (at 1 AM in Malaysia).
I guess you might want to use VPN to access the website "from Malaysia" to get the slots earlier, as they go out very quickly, or ask someone in Malaysia to help you out.
KL is my embassy of choice for getting visas (I always do Non-B if that matters though), and this time I was pleasantly surprised at how sweet the embassy ladies were.
I got some grief though for having couple days overstay in Thailand (happened due to the mistake from the company that handled my working visa transfer from one company to another).
Hope this helps those who a looking to go to KL for their visa.
Need to do yearly extension non O thai children at Chaengwattana in May. Was wondering if it is possible to make appointment online. I don't see it in available choices on system.
I've made an appointment for MTT to apply for extension due to covid (on amnesty after visa-exempt entry) though wasn't able to select any exact time, only this time slot:
Counter No. : K-Counter K
Booking Date : 11/11/2020
Booking Time : 08:30-12:00
I am just meant to show up any time between 8:30 and 12:00? Doesn't seem like much of an appointment 😅 Or perhaps I just didn't do this right. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks guys
