I run a full blown website and meet all the financial requirements... Also made a portfolio presentation to be given to the visa processing consolute..
I am from Canada and dont want to fly back home but would like to fly somewhere and apply for it at a Thai consolute in a neighboring country. I tried going to the Osaka one... but once I got there... they said I had to be a permanent resident.
Where can I go to get this accomplished? Without flying back to Canada.
Also.. im open to the idea of hiring somebody to do the application if need be..
I think I've got the hang of this now. We have entered Thailand on 01.11.23 on an METV. We extended once yesterday,at Bluport, which means we need to leave the kingdom by the 30.01.24. Can anyone advise the simplest way to just do a border bounce from HuaHin? Thank you. My husband and I have different opinions about this right now. Thank you.
Can a border-run be done without actually entering another country, thus avoiding the need for a visa for e.g. Laos, Cambodia or Myanmar? Meaning: Stamping out of Thailand, but never stamping in in the neighbor country. Instead turning around in the no man's land in between and stamping directly back into Thailand? If not, is there other ways to avoid the third country visa need? I think Myanmar had some border regions that you could visit for an hour or two and then head back into Thailand - visa-free (against USD 10 in cash or so, if I remember correctly). Excuse the question. Never did a border run myself - never had to before. Planning ahead for a season on a METV - as they messed up the new LTR visa.
