Does anyone know if the 800,000 baht needed to meet the long term visa requirement needs to be a saving’s/checking account or can it be put into an investment account?
Does anyone know if the funds to be deposited for various visas (800,000 baht, etc.) must be placed in a Thai bank savings account? Or can they be invested in a Thai bank fund account (or savings plus funds)? I understand that the total holdings cannot fall below the minimum threshold (400,000 baht, etc.). TIA
Hoping someone may be able to help. I have the 800,000 in a bank account which will just sit there for immigration purposes. At the moment it is in a savings account. I would like to move to a fixed account which will give a little more interest. The account would be at the same bank. But I am a little concerned as to how immigration would veiw this. If they see it as withdrawing all the money from the account it could mess up my next extension. Does anyone have experience of this.
Hi... regarding 800k in bank account for Non O-A extension... Does it have to be in a transactional account or could I put it into a fixed deposit... I won't be drawing any funds from it and see it as an opportunity to get at least a little bit of interest... Thanks for all the excellent information...
