TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster seeks advice about traveling with a Thai passport that has just over 2 months remaining before expiration. Community responses indicate that there shouldn't be problems either departing the UK or arriving in Thailand, with some opinions suggesting Thai nationals can travel even on expired passports, while others caution about airline policies requiring a minimum of 6 months validity.
Not for all countries as Uk. It’s sufficient that the passport just is valid upon your stay. Several other countries demand three or six months after you’ll leave.
I think if it is your home country don't think they could refuse you be different if it was another country you were going and you are not a National but I could be wrong I hope not I.e why am asking the Question😉
sounds like every country is different but does look like Thai Nationals can enter there own country less than six months and possible expired passport😊
For several countries you’ll need from three to six months left beyond your stay to enter. However this is not the case for uk. Thailand is no problem.
“To travel to the UK, your passport will need to be valid for the entire duration of your trip.”
Hi Jan thank you for your comment yeah they are going back for holiday and renewal there Thai passport while there and then travel back to the UK on there new passport so are you saying its OK uk airport let them go and they can enter Thailand as there Thai Nationals on there passport what will only have just over 2 months left?😊
I misread your question a bit. Tough they were coming to UK first. But even this would be ok according to UK regulations. But for entering Thailand it’s for sure no problems.
yeah no they are going back to Thailand from the uk the end of June and they are both Thai Nationals but when arriving in Thailand they will only just have over 2 months in there passport before expiry so was just asking if they would have problem leveing uk or any problems when arriving in Thailand😊
Yes as Brandon says thai citizens will be able to travel and enter Thailand even on an expired passport. And for entries into UK its -unlike some other countries in western Europe- sufficient that the passport just is valid for the duration of your stay.
