I got a Single Entry Tourist Visa for Thailand back in January. I prolonged this Visa at Thai Immigration for 30 days. After that i got another 30 days doing a border run to Myanmar. End of this month i am planning to fly to Vietnam for a few days. When i get back from Vietnam to Thailand, do i automatically have another 30 days in Thailand? And is it possible to prolong this visa doing another border run to Myanmar?

Why not just get a single entry tourist visa at either the thai consulate in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh city? That would get you 60 days when you stamp in and you could extend that for 30 more.

they sometimes require proof of 20K baht in a bank account, proof of onward travel and proof of a hotel booking. look at the consulate's website you're thinking of using..

2 land border crossings per calendar year...you can do a 30 day extension at the immigration office with the visa waiver you get from flying in from VN...fly in as many times as you like no rule on that but, the I/O will stop and question you after around the 8th consecutive time

it’s up to the I/O the sweet spot for visa exemption is somewhere between 5-8...but some people have had 12 or and never questioned...so it’s a roll of the dice

Normally the I/O will question after 6 visa exempt stamps in your passport, and look through your passport to see how long your staying, if he notices that your getting extensions for the 30 day visa exempts, then they will scrutinize and advise you next time to come back with a Tourist Visa. They don't seem to like seeing the 30 day visa exempts being extended because the total for that is 60 days, if your staying that long they want you to use the Tourist Visa.
