Hello everyone

I'm just looking for some advice. I'm coming to Thailand on a 60 day tourist visa and I'm hoping to actually stay for 6 months. So the plan is to apply for 30 day extension giving me 90 days, then I was going to go to Cambodia for 30 days fly back to Thailand get 30 days on entry, here is where I'm uncertain can I get an extension on that 30 day entry, is there a way I could stay in Thailand without going to Cambodia I've been there and it's OK but I'd rather just stay in Thailand if there is a way to do that.

You could look at the Multiple entry tourist visa (METV). It’s valid for 6 months and on each entry you get 60 days (which you can extend for a further 30 days). Border bounce to another country and you get another 60 days. Time things right and bounce out and in just before it expires and you can eek out almost 9 months from that visa.

No, because if I count: 60 days +30 day Extension, border run for new 30 days + 30 days extension makes 60+30+30+30= 150 days, which is only 5 months. You need to do another border run to get the second 30 day Visa exempt entry to make it 6 months.

Yes, there a plenty of visa's available which will give between 60 days, 90 days, 1 year or even 5 year of stay and can be extended as long as you can meet requirements. All based on the reason why you like to stay long time in Thailand.
