TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the reasons why someone was denied entry into Thailand despite holding a valid visa and showing sufficient funds. Participants discuss various factors including the specific clauses of the immigration act that can lead to denial, such as lack of confirmed accommodation and insufficient proof of financial means. It is emphasized that having a visa does not guarantee entry, and multiple users seek clarity on the immigration process and possible next steps for re-entering Thailand.
That depends what country your passport is issued by.

FWIW: IF you are denied entry into the country under section 12. There are only so many clauses they can cite.
This is Section 12 of the immigration act and the reasons you can be denied entry.

Joshua Wong the activist from Hong Kong who was supposed to speak at Chula with Netiwit in Oct 2016 was denied entrance based on #7 :O

I love some of the wording :) I wonder if anyone has been refused entry on the 'Likelihood of being a nuisance' under section 7?

So why did immigration refuse him entry? Is there something registered against his name on their computer records?

Is it possible to enter at another border if denied at certain border? For example you come back by bus fron Laos at Udon Thani and they reject you.. can you fly from Laos to Bangkok and try to enter there on the same Visa?

I would not recommend to post all the personal details (name, passport number, ...) online.

They were NOT deported they were denied entry. In order to get deported you have had to be stamped into thailand, they weren't.
They were not banned or blacklisted meaning they can try to re-enter thailand. Their visa wasn't canceled or voided either so they could use it to try to enter thailand at another time.
he actually doesn't need to apply again for a tourist visa. That visa wasn't canceled because he wasn't allowed into the country.

Unfortunately having a VISA to thailand doesn't guarantee you get in to thailand. I don't know the story on this case but those were the reasons they were denied entry into the country.
, The reasons they put on the denial of enter were the reasons I posted. I can't give you any more information than that.
The clause 2 says they have no booked place to stay when they are here, meaning they didn't have a confirmed hotel booking or proof of lodging.
Clause 9 said they have no way to support themselves while they are here meaning they did not have sufficient funds in the eyes of the immigration officers.
Did they have 20K baht in cash, a confirmed hotel booking AND proof they were going to leave the country within 60 days?
