Holding Canadian passport entering with tourist visa to Thailand, why sometimes immigration stamp for 2 months and sometimes 1 month?! How to make sure they stamp for the max - 2 months? 🙏🏻

Since mid July, Canadians get 60 days stamped at entry. I got stamped 30 days when I arrived in June. This on visa exempt arrival.

you should have questioned that with the officer who stamped you. Don't you check when your passport is stamped. Don't be a sheep and follow the crowd. Know your rights

😂😂😂 I replied to the post where she questioned why Canadians were stamped 30 days at one point and 60 days sometimes. Before July mid, Canadians were stamped 30 days on arrival. After July people from many nationalities including Canadians are stamped for 60 days on arrival.

You're not entering with a tourist visa then. Because a tourist visa always gives you 60 days (not 2 months).

You were entering visa exempt, which isn't any visa at all. It's just a free entry stamp and is normally for 30 days. But they've had multiple promotions that change it to 45 days or 60 days. Currently the promotion is for 60 days.

There's nothing you can do to get any different amount of days besides applying for and paying for a tourist visa. Otherwise you'll get however many days the law currently says is for visa exempt.

60 days is at date the new normal regarding visa exemptions. This is as permanent as everything else and no timelimited promotion.

Citizen of countries who not are included in the 60 days visa exemption scheme has to apply online for a tourist visa to get a 60 days stay.

just look at the stamp before you walk away from the IO and you don’t need to apply for a tourist visa you can extend 30 days once here which will give you 90 days
