Just saw this posted in another group from the "Bella B" ASQ hotel. Typical ignorance, "a new ministry of health rule" that somehow only this hotel got...

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around new regulations imposed by some ASQ (Alternative State Quarantine) hotels in Thailand, which restrict access to balconies for guests during their stay. Several users share their experiences regarding this rule, expressing frustrations with late notifications from hotels and questioning the necessity of such measures. Some suggest that the rules might vary between hotels, with some allowing balcony access while others enforce strict compliance. The discussion also touches on the application of ASQ certificates for visa extensions and the perceived over-cautiousness in health protocols.
My terms and conditions for my asq hotel last week included " I will not open any exterior windows". I did not opt for a balcony as I will be there April when it's too muggy to be outside long. Chose a great view and a treadmill/eliptical.

Why anyone would spend 40k or more is beyond me. I am just saying.
So the asq certificate is issued base on this and not on twice negative test 😄 who need asq certificate if you have twice negative ?

Opened and walked on ours everyday.. Only problem we had was the smokers all around our room and the smoke coming in from aircon, worse at night for some reason.. That's when the door was closed...

I never felt the need to open the windows; you don't know what kind of air can come inside; at least in bkk 😉

Just choose the right hotel, people complain about some of the quarantine hotels but at the end you only get from what they pay :)

Am I right I’m thinking that this doesn’t apply to all ...? Was hoping to spend most of my day sat on the balcony.
Fraser Suites makes you sign an indemnity form that says you understand the Ministry of Health requires that balcony doors be locked but that you indemnify the hotel and request the balcony door opened anyway due to being unable to leave the room for so many days and that you accept all risks of it.

Well the asq certificate means nothing. I have never been asked for mine. So I guess unless after quarantine you’re heading straight to the airport to fly to another city that has a mandatory quarantine then I’d say open the window/balcony the certificate does nothing for you!
