TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is a UK passport holder applying for a visa at HCMC and has been requested multiple times for financial documentation, despite providing ample evidence of funds. Commenters share similar experiences and suggest submitting updated bank statements, screenshots of current balances, and additional verification such as a bank certificate. They also mention the importance of clarity regarding the currency and conversions to Thai Baht, as well as ensuring personal details are visible on submitted documents.

The UK ask for 6months of statements? I thought it was just as simple as having 500k baht

@Liam ******
depends what you are applying for - soft power just need the 500k. I am proving income for my business so needs more
Liam *******
Anonymous participant ok cool, for soft power you just need proof of booking and documents from the soft power body you’re booking from?

Also do a screenshot of your current balance as of the day you submit

thanks, I will try if they ask again for more documents but they were very specific on no screenshots with me

Anonymous participant yes when filling out the proof of funds it says screen shots not accepted
Donna ******
Anonymous participant They actually said no screenshots? As many people can't do a same day statement, they include the screenshot with the statements to show the current balance. I believe I may have read this on one of the official sites too.

Hubby was requested 2nd time so he submitted the most current balance as of the date of the resubmission

This! I saw somewhere that a screenshot of current balance is suggested, so I submitted that along with the 6 months in savings. They (HCMC) only came back asking for salary in highlighted, but it seems OP already submitted.

Make sure your full name is on the statement and bank name and if possible your address also

If you can try get a certificate from bank showing current balance

Thanks for both suggestions - it’s in GDP. I have re submitted with an additional cover letter with a conversion into baht and a request on information on where it is I have gone wrong.

Is the money in a standard bank account?

3 bank accounts all given with 6 months worth of statements - one savings account, one business account and a current account

Anonymous participant yes - well over 500k in the personal account. Other accounts only show for income purpose

Anonymous participant thanks mate - but majority funds are in my personal account. Business is just to show ins and outs
John **********
Anonymous participant you need the entirety of the 500k in your personal account. Try to keep that separate from the business stuff (I'm assuming you are applying for workation)
Rob *********
Anonymous participant Mate I think this is the issue, I know people rejected for the same reason , they used the business account as proof of funds, and it was not accepted , it needs to be a personal bank account with your name and address in there.

What currency? Could they be misinterpreting this? Can you also attach the exchange rates?
Zaw ************
Maybe write down the exchange rate and equivalent amount in THB?

Forgot to add - I gave them 6 months worth of statements and even went through and highlighted key information such as money in and total balance. In total i will have supplied this financial information 3 times now.

Anonymous participant Are you using a "normal" bank? , a broker maybe ? , a Neobank (wise, Revolut etc...)?
