Hello, I apologize if this question is not appropriate for this group, but I'm not sure where else to ask and I'm having trouble finding information online. I'm applying for an Ed Visa for a language school in KL and it says I need a certified criminal record. I'm wondering if there are any Americans who have done this and know what type of report is acceptable and how they got it. I tried to go to my embassy here but they said they couldn't help. Is there any way to get this while in Thailand or KL?

You can get Police clearance record in Bangkok or Chonburi for sure. It takes about 2 weeks to get the results.

apply somewhere else. If they ask Police report you need to apply in Thailand at Royal Thai Headquarter.

I applied at the embassy, I find out tomorrow if they refuse it...the lady said they might because my criminal record was just an online one.

I thought I needed one from my home country, I can get this in Thailand? Is it possible to get in KL or do I have to go back to Thailand?

I got one when I got a work visa for Australia. I used online third party. Not sure if that’ll be accepted in this case.

If you need the name I can search my work computer for it.
