Can I Use a Thai Police Check for a Non-B Visa Application in Kuala Lumpur?

So yes I have researched all the requirements and have read the website on how to make an appointment online and having a valid number to receive messages when you turn in your visa application. I am trying to obtain another non b visa for teaching. The requirements are a background check from your home country. I know things change all the and last time I used a Thai police check and it was fine. Will this still work? I was just wandering if anyone has gone to Kuala Lumpur recently and used a thai police background check for their visa instead of the one from their home country? I have also been in Thailand for two years but I do understanding wanting one from your own country. I have already emailed the embassy in Kuala Lumpur and I am in the process of obtaining one from my home country as well.
