My name and passport number are incorrect in the non-immigrant dependent visa issued by the Thai Consulate in Vientiane. Upon pointing this out, my documents, including my passport, were taken back by the consulate with no clear indication of if and when this issue would be resolved.
Has anyone faced this situation before? Please advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user reports an issue with incorrect personal information on their non-immigrant dependent visa issued by the Thai Consulate in Vientiane. After highlighting the error, the consulate took back their passport without providing clarity on when the issue will be resolved. Other users suggest waiting to see if further clarification can be obtained after other passports are picked up at the consulate.
the guy who took my documents told me his boss is out of office and he needs to authorise a change in sticker. He told me to wait for two hours but could not say with any certainty that it would get done.
you aren't gonna be able to do ANYTHING with the wrong info on that visa sticker ๐ Let them sort it out, and hopefully they can do it before they close today and you don't have to spend another night in Vientiane ๐
the guy who processed my documents was possibly mortified that he had got it wrong and kept telling me that a visa with incorrect details would work and I would be able to enter Thailand, NBD. He didn't want to bring it to his boss's attention I guess.
My husband, who has a far more complicated name got his business visa with correct details, NBD ๐ we are supposed to leave for Thailand next week so just a bit worried without the lack of clarity.
