What should I do after my DTV Visa application was rejected as a Belgian citizen?

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know a good lawyer who can help me navigate my DTV Visa application or can anyone recommend the best way possible to go about getting my Visa application approved?

I’m a Belgian citizen, and I recently applied for the DTV Visa online, but unfortunately, my application was rejected without an explanation. I provided all the requested documents, yet they still denied my application.

I run a digital marketing agency registered in the U.S., which I operate alone and remotely. I provided proof that both my personal and business bank accounts hold funds exceeding the required 500,000 Thai baht. However, I have no employees and currently don’t pay myself a salary, as I rely on other income sources for my monthly expenses. I suspect this may have contributed to the rejection, or it could be due to the requirement for company registration documents verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which I did not have.

If anyone can help me understand what went wrong and how to proceed, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m currently in France and plan to travel back to Thailand around March 15th.

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a Belgian citizen, has faced rejection of their DTV Visa application without a clear explanation despite submitting the necessary documentation. They seek recommendations for lawyers and guidance on improving their chances of approval. Responses point out that the rejection may be due to insufficient personal income evidence and lack of necessary company registration documents. Suggested remedies include reapplying in countries like Vietnam or Jakarta, demonstrating personal income, and understanding that lawyers may not be able to influence visa decisions.

Looks like you didn't reply at their additional documents that they required to youvia email, that's why they doesn't approve your visa.

Can consider to apply as freelancer from the other business that you got the income. If apply from the current company but you don’t get any money from it, it’d be the trouble. If you get dividend they will ask to see your company accounts, if you get salary then have to submit monthly payouts.

I got my DTV visa in Penang and it’s take about 14 days to approve. Just apply online and doesn’t need to have in person interview. As I got advise by the consulate that you need to show past 6 months of personal bank transactions to get approval. Hope this help

Forget this stupid lawyer idea. It WON'T work! Embassies have the right to reject with or without a reason. Just go to Vietnam and apply under soft power category. Far much easier and cheaper. Lots of people are getting approved that way.

Soft power routes are easier :)

You applied for digital nomad, so they ask for your contract from the company & payslip. If you own a company, you need to provide your business register & your website

Most of my customers from my Muay Thai camp applied form Vietnam & Jakarta and they took approx 3-10 days

A lawyer lol. Are you gonna try to sue Thailand for not giving you a visa ? Haha

If they ask for something, and you flatly ignore it, they will just reject your application. You must submit whatever they ask, and you've got up to 14 days to procure the things, each time they ask for additional documents.

Okay, you arent going to get approved in France any time soon, it's a very slow embassy. So you'd better come to Thailand visa exempt if eligible and plan which nearby country would be best for you to apply considering your DTV scheme and business type. Don't choose a country that has quirky requirements such as you experienced for document legalization by MFA.

Apply somewhere else where you can get good chances of approval. Hanoi, Jakarta, and Phnom Penh are some of the options. I heard Manila is also pretty smooth.

A lawyer will not help, just give what they ask for. If you dont have income from your business you are not a remote worker but just a random people with

Yes you did not show you have income so you were rejected

You show business made money but not you personally

This is why rejected

Must have money in personal account not in business account

Very easy to reapply but show income inform of being paid not just your business account

According to your post you cannot show financial movement from your company to you personally. No funds going from the company to you. They asked for pay history and you didn't provide. I don't know what you think a lawyer can do if you can't supply the requested documents.

You can always reapply. I’d suggest applying in Hanoi or Jakarta

Vientiane, Laos 🇱🇦 Not good?

obtaining a visa is NOT a right so it can get denied anytime and without any reason. Said that, you can try with the soft powers such as muai thai...

if they deny your application, you should get a refund

what do I care what some dumb redneck thinks?

@Jan *********
the fee you pay is a processing fee not a fee for the visa itself so no refunds

@David ********
I don’t care what they say it's for. If they don’t give me a visa, I’m calling my bank and getting a refund. it works just like that with bank
David *********
@Jan *********
if you have the right requirements for the visa you will get it, if you don’t then don’t bother applying
Jan **********
@David ********
The requirements are not very clear and straightforward with some embassies enforcing different rules. Nowhere on the website does it say you’re suppose to submit six months of banking data with your application. This means it’s misleading and deliberately to get your money. This is grounds for a lawsuit . You should be thanking me. Once I go through this system and cause massive amount of losses, their application process will be a lot more clearer and easy to follow
Jeremy *****
@Jan *********
let all know how your lawsuit works out though idi0t 😂😂😂
Jan **********
@Jeremy ****
I said grounds for a lawsuit, bozo. What I will do is take a bunch of cases and then get a charge back on credit cards. I’ll keep 50% of what I can get back 🤗

@Jan *********
you won't get a thing back and hopefully be banned.from thailand like the loser you are😂

You keep ranting about them taking your money and it's setup to steal.

You're literally a M0r0n and can't get approved it's hilarious F'In polak joke of a man
