TLDR : Answer Summary
When filling out the TM6 form after obtaining a new passport, it's recommended to use the new passport number for entry into Thailand. However, you should carry both the old and new passports with you and present them to the Thai Immigration Officer upon arrival. It's also important to be aware of the expiration date of your current extension of stay, which is documented in your old passport.

Just so we're clear NO ONE knows how it will work with the new TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) system will actually work.

There is nothing out there yet and the projected roll out date is May 1

Let's wait for the updates from the government

This is Feb and we're a LONG way from May when they want to roll this project out

You will be using the new passport to enter Thailand....use the New passport number on the TM6.

Carry BOTH OLD and NEW passports and show the Thai Immigration Officer upon arrival into Thailand. Double check the stamp placed in your passport on arrival.

Remember that you need a reentry permit to enter Thailand and save the current ending date of your one year extension of stay as retired now in your Old passport.
