Does anyone have any experience getting their Non B in Cambodia on a South African passport? They said we can apply but it might take a while to be approved. Just curious if anyone did this recently?
Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the experiences of obtaining a Non-B visa for Thailand while in Cambodia on a South African passport. It highlights that the process can take a significant amount of time, potentially up to a month, especially if the applicant does not have legal residency in Cambodia. Users suggested contacting the Thai consulate in Phnom Penh for specific timelines and additional documentation requirements, as well as noting the need for a Thailand Pass for entry into Thailand.
I know of only a handful of people who flew to Phnom Penh and got visas at the thai consulate there and none of them were South African. Believe me if it says it can take a while you may be in Cambodia for a few weeks waiting on the approval.
Did you OR your employer call the thai consulate in Phnom Penh and ask them in person how long it might take and if there is any extra documentation (like a background check etc)?
