Hello, I am currently on a tourist visa exemption stamp (on arrival) worth 45 days. I am planning a visa run to Laos.
My question is whether you get a 30 day OR 45 day visa (expemtion stamp) on arrival via land border/crossing too?
I am a German national with German passport.
30 days would not be enough for me so in that case I would wait and simply buy the extension later on.
Any information is much appreciated!
Thank you for taking the time to read :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
A German national currently on a 45-day tourist visa exemption stamp in Thailand inquired about the duration of a visa exemption upon re-entry via a land border after a visa run to Laos. Responses clarified that as of March 31, 2023, entering Thailand by land under visa exemption allows for a 45-day stamp, just like by air. However, the individual must consider that they are limited to two visa-exempt entries by land within a calendar year. Additionally, they could opt for a 30-day extension on their current entry if needed.
even though you say the 30 day extension "wouldn't be enough" time for you, you are allowed a 30 day extension on each entry if you wanted it
I mean, it's still time in country and that means you could stay in thailand 30 days more than just bouncing out and back for the 45 day extension and then the 30 days.

Did you already buy a 30day extension at immigration on your 45 day entry stamp?
