Hi everyone,

I want to enter Thailand overland (with a German passport) for the third time within four months after I stayed in laos now for about three weeks.

I'm just a traveller who wants to catch its flight form bkk in two weeks. 

Will the immigration give me a 30 day free visa on arrival again ? Any recommendations where I should / should not cross border in laos ?

.. one more thing as I found this on the question how many exemption visas I'm allowed to have: By land entry, you can have 2 per year – see above. By Air, there doesn’t seem to be consistently firm rules.

So as its my first time overland (the two entries before were by plane) do I still need to apply for the tourist visa ?

If all you want is to catch your flight, you can fly in to the correct airport (BKK or DMK) and stay in the secure transit area, without a visa.

You can stay in transit for 12 hours, by law (longer, in reality).

If you purchase two separate tickets then you would not be allowed to be in transit. You would need to exit immigration and check back in.

No stamp at all from Thai immigration when you transit in Suvarnabhumi airport to another destination per example like Zurich-Bangkok-Kuala Lumpur ?

You would have to fly in or to go a thai consulate and BUY single entry tourist visa

You as a german do NOT get a visa on arrival, you get a 30 day visa exempt entry and by land you can only get TWO in a year
