My Chinese girlfriend is arriving on 18th January in BKK with a visa on arrival which gives her a 15 day stay. 

She will therefore be applying for the 60 DAYS VISA EXTENTION FOR REASONS OF COVID. 

She would like to book a SHA++ hotel near the immigration office most suitable to apply for this.

Could anyone suggest the location or address?

the info we have from Chinese blog posts (the latest is 3 days ago) of multiple Chinese individuals entering Thailand with VOA15 and then apying and obtaining (quite easily) the 60 days covid extentions. I'm guessing that this is mainly approved for Chinese considering their difficulty to find flights and get green codes for return to China (China requires you to stay 28 days in Thailand before you can enter China)

Can you share these blogs? There's no official announcement from the Thai government saying they will grant the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 to Chinese citizens by default.

the blogs are on a chinese SM app, not down my ally. but me gf is confident about the covid extention based on it. If you are a chinese reader ill share the app sshot. I'm guessing that they will give the CVE to people having trouble getting home due to restrictions of home country, not just for chinese. I expect Italians for example to have a harder time getting it...

If she is to enter Thailand VISA ON ARRIVAL...its good for 15 days and must depart Thailand. It cannot be extended inside Thailand

She should have obtained a Tourist Visa which would have given her 60 days on arrival plus 30 days extension = 90 days stay in Thailand.

FYI...the process to obtain a Covid Extension is changing.

No guarantee of them being issued...no guarantee they will be for 60 days anymore...

And as she just arrived VISA ON ARRIVAL from China, obviously she could leave too.

It appears Thai Immigration is again asking those seeking a COVID extension to obtain a letter from their home country Embassy reqyesting the COVID extension

Will the Embassy of China provide such a letter ?

Securing Visas upon entry in Thailand...

The VISA ON ARRIVAL allows passport holders of 19* countries to enter Thailand under this rule provided that they meet these requirements:

The visit is strictly for tourism purposes.

The passport must be genuine and should be valid for at least 30 days.

You must have a valid address in Thailand whether a hotel or apartment that can be verified.

You must have a confirmed return ticket to show that they are flying out of Thailand within 15 days of entry, as appropriate.

Open tickets do not qualify. Travelling overland out of Thailand by train, bus, etc to Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia (including en route to Singapore), Myanmar, etc is not accepted as proof of exiting Thailand.

You may be asked to show your flight ticket on entering Thailand.

If you do not possess a flight ticket to show that you will be exiting Thailand within 15 days of entry you will be most likely refused entry.

It will also be necessary to prove that you have funds of at least 10,000 THB per person and 20,000 THB per family during your stay in Thailand.

A fee of 2,000 THB is payable upon entry and is subject to change without notice. It must be paid in cash and Thai currency only.

Hi Mike. I haven’t crossed a situation that a tourist with 15 days visa on arrival can extend for 60 days. On the other hand, A 60 days tourist visa issued by the Thai embassy can be extended to 30 days. A 30-day visa exempt which is stamp at the airport can be extended for 30 days. If your girlfriend will extend her stay, she will be given a maximum of 15 days
